REDARC – SMART START SBI 12V 200A$379.42
The REDARC Smart Start® SBI212 is a battery isolator used as a solenoid priority system to protect that start battery from excessive discharge while the auxiliary battery is supplying non-essential loads. The SBI212 provides 12 volt DC incorporating 200A of continuous ratings, the battery isolator is designed for extremely heavy-duty operations.
Power Saving Technology
Primarily used in commercial vehicle dual battery systems, it incorporates electronic components that will prevent the solenoid from generating high voltage transients. It is better than a diode battery isolator due to the voltage drop associated with diode type isolation. It features a low standby current draw and sophisticated fault detection and LED indication of operation to warn the user of faults including over-voltage, voltage drop and excessive current draw conditions.
The Smart Start SBI battery isolator is a safe way to charge dual battery system and should often be installed with a high quality fuse kit.

The REDARC BCDC1220 is a 12 Volt 20 Amp In-vehicle DC to DC battery charger designed to keep your battery charged whilst driving. Featuring multi stage battery charging, the system charges your auxiliary battery from your vehicle to a proven 100%.
The BCDC charger will work from a wide operating range (9 – 32V) giving the option of charging from both 12V and 24V vehicle systems.

Placement of solar panels with regards to the sun
Ideally your solar panel should be in direct sunlight for best performance. This means that as much as possible your solar panel should be perpendicular to the direction of the sun rays. In practice this is not easily achievable or convenient and so we recommend that you orient your panels so that they are facing north at about a 45° angle.
